This is a picture taken from the John Muir Trail that goes for more than 400 miles through the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. I am looking back down at Nevada Falls which is about 1000 feet higher than the top of Vernal falls.. As a matter of fact, at this point the trail is at an elevation of 8600 feet ! Boy ! It is sure is beautiful here!!
